MAGRUDERGRIND have completed their epic LP release for Six Weeks entitled "Rehashed". This should be out this spring, in time for their early summer tour with I OBJECT!!!.
S.M.D. have just finished recording their new LP/CD with Jef Leppard of VOETSEK fame. Entitled "The Devil Makes Me Do It" this is sure to be one killing crossover thrash record from Pico Rivera's finest (and drunkest!!). Expect a long awaited (like 20 years) tour of the east coast to support this May release this summer. This release is definitely for fans of Suicidal Tendencies/D.R.I....believe it!!
SHORT FAST & LOUD #17 is heading towards a April release. This issue will feature a CD compilation compiled from our Teen Beat feature that exposes young/new bands. The long overdue DEADFALL discography CD originally slated for release on Tankcrimes has been taken over by Six Weeks. This CD will contain all three EP's, comp trax,etc. and we hope to have it ready for Jan/Feb. of 2007.
Jef Leppard toils patiently over the mix down of the ROTTEN FUX 7" as we speak. If he can hold off on strangling the band members or offing himself after listening to these bastards mix for like 8 months, we hope to have the 7" out by 2020.
WEEKEND NACHOS plan to record their 12" for Six Weeks in the next few months!! Expect nothing but pure power-core in the vein of NEANDERTHAL/INFEST/etc. This record will be completed in time for their US Tour with MAGRUDERGRIND in '07. The band just completed a succesfull West Coast tour with IN DISGUST and have a new split EP out with Chicago's CHRONIC BLEEDING SYNDROME. Their ripping debut EP "Torture" may or not still be in print but we suggest....no...we order you to track a copy down now.
Speaking of, MAGRUDERGRIND have finished up writing for their LP on Six Weeks and should be in the studio within the month!! No title yet but we hope to have this ready for the thrash fiends in Feb 07'.

SAIRAAT MIELET-"Controversial History 1988-1992" CD is finally finished after troubles with the original master. Blistering fast crossover thrash from Finland with a hardline SXE violent streak. Brilliant musicianship combined with anger overload equals one of the best hardcore bands in history. No boy scout youth crew shit, this is pure fucking pissed off thrash from 1988-1992. Combines both classic EP's "Tippa Tappa" & "Punk On Paskaa" and packaged in a spiffy full color digipak with liner notes and lyrics.
RUNNAMUCKS 3rd LP "Inferno" is almost finished and at the plant. 10 new burning tracks that combine feirce american rock-n-roll with Boston HC ala THE FREEZE. This album is not to be missed fucko-s!!!! Release date is set in stone for May 23rd!!
ROTTEN FUX have almost finished their 7"EP for Six Weeks!! This Bay Area/San Jose band are a fucking mess of noise and chaos. This record is for true distort-noise fanatics and heavily influenced by hard booze and mainlining CONFUSE, GAI and DISORDER records. Believe it, every fraudulent band out there trying to copy early Japanese distort-core will be bowing to these kids upon this discs release!
VOETSEK is putting the finishing touches on their restrospective CD. This collection of EP/splits and compilation tracks will be ready in time for their summer tour. Check the site for confirmed dates soon.
HOLIER THAN THOU? should have their artwork together soon for their final offering to the world of hardcore soon. The recording is done and sounds fucking amazing (recorded by Nick Rucker who recorded their landmark debut for Six Weeks "The Hating Of The Guts"). This final recording finds these guys coming back full circle to their rooyts of thrashing crossover skate-core. Hopefully due out by the end of summer!!
DEADFALL are beginning work on their new LP for Six Weeks soon. Writing has begun and it is sure to be a fucking rager!! Their brand new "Keep Telling Yourself Its OK"EP is out now on Tank Crimes/Punks Before Profits Records.

S.M.D. promised under oath of death to return from this springs tour (check the Tours link for info on when they'll be in town to out drink your entire scene) and get to work on their new LP. Plans are to record with Jef Leppard (Voetsek) by end of summer!

SAIRAAT MIELET, legendary Finland straight edge HC unit, have agreed to release their first (and only) two EP's on CD for the first time on Six Weeks. For those not in the know, Sairaat Mielet were one of the most vicious SXE bands of all time, playing rabidly mad fast thrash with amazing crossover guitar work and the most violent vocals ever put to hardcore music. The CD, entitled "Controversial History", will hopefully be completed in time for a February release. This is not youth crew boy scout stuff, this is over the top hardline thrash with unbelievable musicianship that was born in the early 90's. This CD contains both EP's: "Tippa Tappa" and "Punk On Paskaa" both criminally limited to 500 copies each. This CD will be packaged in a killer digi-pak with all new artwork from the band and should not be missed by an self respecting punk, sober or not!!
SHORT FAST & LOUD #13 has hit the streets and its a mass of hardcore knowledge as usual!! With killer columns, trillions of record/demo reviews and heaps of bad attitude this zine has become the resource guide for harsh, violent extreme noise!! Finally, the long-awaited discography CD by Swedish raw punx 16 BLASARE UTAN HJARNA (16 B.U.H.) will be released in July. This CD contains their earliest works: two cassette-only releases recorded between 1986-87. 30 trax of rare Swedish hardcore, raw and unfiltered yet retaining a classic punk melody. This band was formed by members of ROVSVETT, and also contained members of STRIKER. The enhanced CD will have a long-lost live set from 1988 in MP3 format. This is definitely for fans of Killed By Death/Bloodstains....as these songs havent been heard since their release 20 years ago.

The movie follows the lead of one John The Baker, a misfit punk who moved to the Bay Area to open a punk-run recording studio and gig space called Burnt Ramen in the lower slums of Richmond,CA. A place that turned into a combustible clubhouse of punk rock insanity and a breeding ground for relentless punk music, lifelong friendships and an example of what DIY/punk rock can achieve when left to its own devices ,until its closure by the Fire Marshall in 2003 (thanks Great White!). This film contains interviews (and live footage) by those who made it all happen and the bands that erupted out of this enviroment: BORN/DEAD, VOETSEK, DEADFALL, SCURVY DOGS, CASE OF EMERGENCY, STFU, DESOLATION, BLOWN TO BITS, STRUNG UP, EXIT WOUND and BRAINOIL. We feel this is one of the most important punk rock films in 20 years, surpassing past punk films like "Decline Of The Western Civilization" and "Another State Of Mind" in both heart and artistic vision. Using both humor and fierce honesty, Ms. Elbirt has created a film of utmost importance to the hardcore/punk community (local and international) and shows us all what can be achieved when our hearts and minds are captivated and dedicated to the DIY ethics of punk rock.

The cold months of fall bring two new releases to the Six Weeks coven, starting first with the long awaited KILLED IN ACTION-'We Ruin Fun' LP/CD. These fuck ups lay down the furious modern thrashcore at full distort. This shit is some of the most devestating hardcore noise around. The sound of an A-Bomb hitting Columbus!!
FUNERAL SHOCK, a band of no values and severe lack of morals, have released their 12"LP on Six Weeks. After a blazing 7" on San Francisco's Controlled By Plague Records (RIP, now officially re-named Tank Crimes) and about 1,000,000 local shows the band has unleashed 12 new punk shockers on the 45 RPM piece of wax. If you like real deal 80's hardcore, the kind mother always hated, you'll flip over this record. Likened to early hardcore greats Bad Posture, Vile, Black Flag you can tell this aint no "nice music" for kids, this is ugly real punk hell bent on drug abuse and fistfights.
The final juggernaut in the CAPITALIST CASUALTIES CD discography series is "Years In Ruin-1996-1999", and its out now. This disc contains 30 trax culled from the years with Max Ward on drums. This new collection contains the "Dope & War" EP, "Dark Circle" 5"EP, "Planned Community" 6"EP, split records w/ Monster X, Unholy Grave and Macabre as well as the "Tommorrow Will Be Worse" box set songs and an added comp. track as well. Another disc full of blasting political hardcore at its most extreme.
Plans for 2005 are moving slowly as we head towards the dark winter but some things are set in stone:
THE RAMEN DAYS-BAY AREA HARDCORE DOCUMENTED DVD is ready and on schedule for January release. This is a fantastic film documentary by filmmaker Melissa Elbirt that tells the story of the raging current Bay Area punk scene. This movie blew us away on its debut showing and we figured we had to do something about getting this movie out there and seen. In our opinion this surpasses any punk movie/documentary ever made. Really, any description here will not do it justice. Along with great interviews by those that make it happen, you get excellent live performances from DEADFALL, BORN/DEAD, VOETSEK, STRUNG UP, DESOLATION, STFU, BRAINOIL, SCURVY DOGS, BLOWN TO BITS and CASE OF EMERGENCY.
The long over-due post humous release of the HATEMAIL KILLERZ-"Pipebombs and Anthrax"LP is ready to go to the plant finally. Scheduled for release in February 05, you get dealt 38 grenade fragments of high powered, estrogen fronted hatecore in about 25 minutes. One of the most intense, ear-damaging records that will ever be released.
Also on line for release in Feb. 05 is another overdue piece of hardcore. Yes, the STRIKER-" -"Spekulantsvinet"CD is ready to be mastered and sent off. If you dug their earlier release on Six Weeks, "No Bears On The Tracks" (which combined both of their early demos), then your gonna fill your pants listening to this new release. This record is twice as intense, delivering the nasty and dirty Swedish Kang-core ala CRUDE SS/SKITLICKERS. This band includes veterans of the legendary hardcore band ROVSVETT so you know the pedigree is high.
Like we said, things are moving slowly but steady for 2005. Other plans include new releases by THE RUNNAMUCKS, DIRECT CONTROL, CONGA FURY, and there is already talk of a new DEADFALL record by years end if all goes well. Plus a few surprises as well!!!
